How to Delete Your ChatGPT Account

Once you’ve taken the above steps, you’re ready to delete your ChatGPT account. Here’s how:

1. Log in to your ChatGPT account.
2. Click on the ellipsis in line with your account name on the left tab.
3. Select Settings from the menu.
4. Click the Show button in line with Data Controls.
5. Click on Delete account.
6. Enter your account’s email address, type DELETE in the box below, and hit Permanently delete my account.

And that’s it! You have successfully deleted your ChatGPT account.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You also won’t be able to reuse the same email address and phone number to create a new account.
